About Rami Shaafi
I am an overtone singer and multi-instrumentalist. I have always been fascinated by the spirituality of making sounds and music. I travel extensively both performing and teaching overtone singing, Khoomei Mongolian throat singing, didgeridoo, jaw harp, Tibetan singing bowls, Native American flutes, symphonic gongs and other harmonic instruments from around the world. I have been playing all these beautiful harmonic instruments and overtone singing since about 1995 and have performed in festivals, exhibitions, radio programs and concerts. I have performed Healing Sound Journeys with harmonic world instruments and overtone singing for a number of years. I have also given educational concerts and talks about these instruments in schools, which both teachers and students alike have found fun and very useful in understanding the history of these unusual instruments and the cultures which use them. I have been aware of the spirit world since I was a young boy. In my very early twenties, I learned to work with my sensitivity and energy, and I have had the privilege to have studied with wonderful teachers with very high standards, and have the honor of calling them my friends. I have worked for Spiritual centres as a healer and committee member for a number of years, enjoying all the work and experiences in being of service to others. I am a full healer member of the NFSH [National Federation of Spiritual Healers], now known as The Healing Trust, in the UK. I have given spiritual healing to the public on a voluntary basis and have given healing at Mind, Body and Spirit exhibitions. I also give spiritual healing and sound healing to people in their homes. I am an experienced and enthusiastic workshop leader, offering workshops to groups and one-to-one’s on overtone/throat singing, world harmonic instruments and spiritual development. |
About Ivana Shaafi
I started to be interested in spirituality in around 2002, when I was reading lots of spiritual books from around the world. They were coming to me in their own way and in their own time. When I went to live in England in 2006, I attended workshops and met many interesting people who were practicing these teachings. I was discovering energies and my big wish was to see them. After several years of practicing I was allowed to see the energy of trees and, later, of people as well. I started to learn how to play didgeridoo and a whole new world of vibrations started to open in front of me. When I met Rami in 2009, he became my teacher in many ways. Thanks to him I started to play the Native American flute and other instruments, as well as overtone singing. I also discovered my ability to heal. Through helping him with his teaching, I learn more and more every day. |
